As reported by Sacnilk, 'Thug Life' earned approximately Rs 3.25 crore on its fifth day, bringing its total earnings to Rs 40.15 crore within the same period.
The cast and crew of 'Thug Life' recently promoted the film in Delhi, where Kamal Haasan discussed the decision to implement an eight-week window before the film's release on OTT platforms. This topic has been a point of discussion among various actors and filmmakers regarding its impact on cinema. Haasan mentioned that the team had requested the OTT service to allow this gap, believing it could benefit other films as well.
He stated, “We asked them for this; it wasn’t a negotiation or a deal breaker. We wanted them to consider this for us. Both the production company and the OTT platform are collaborating on this experiment. If successful, it could facilitate operations for both sectors.”
In a recent statement, Kamal Haasan addressed the issue of Hindi being imposed on non-Hindi speaking states, asserting, “We will learn without imposition. Education should be accessible, and we should not create barriers.” He expressed solidarity with various states, emphasizing the need for linguistic inclusivity throughout India, saying, “I support Punjab, Karnataka, and Andhra. This issue extends beyond just one region.”
