Joyful Nagni Mata Jatar Fair Celebrated in Khole Village

On Saturday, Khole village in the tribal Pulan Panchayat of Bharmaur came alive with the annual Nagni Mata Jatar fair. This vibrant event, held at the esteemed Nagni Mata Temple, was filled with spiritual energy, traditional practices, and active community involvement, all under the hopeful anticipation of the upcoming monsoon rains.
The fair was honored by the presence of Angrej Kapoor, the Bharmaur BJP Mandal President, who served as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Anita Kapoor, the Pradhan of Pulan Panchayat, and Vice Pradhan Sunil Dutt, both of whom participated in the festivities and showed their support for this community-centric occasion.
One of the main attractions was the lively Kaudi competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from local teams. The Sirdi team emerged victorious, taking home the first prize, while Gahra village secured the second position. The winning team received a cash reward of ₹5,100, with the runners-up awarded ₹2,100, adding a spirit of friendly competition to the celebrations.
The event showcased the rich local traditions, with villagers donning colorful attire and performing rituals to pay homage to Nagni Mata, a deity revered for her protective blessings. The air was filled with folk music and regional delicacies, fostering a sense of unity and joy among attendees.
