Jordan Unveils Squad for FIFA World Cup 2026 with Key Players
Jordan Football Association Announces World Cup Squad
The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has revealed its 26-player roster for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, featuring star forward Mousa Al Tamari at the helm.
Unfortunately, the team will miss the services of key striker Yazan Al Naimat, who is recovering from a knee injury sustained during last year's FIFA Arab Cup. On a positive note, Captain Ehsan Haddad is making a comeback after nearly a year on the sidelines due to injury. Al Tamari has had an impressive season, netting seven goals and providing 11 assists across 36 league and cup matches for Rennes, in addition to scoring seven times for Jordan during the World Cup Asian qualifiers.
The squad also showcases several emerging talents, including strikers Ali Azaizeh, Odeh Fakhoury, and Ibrahim Sabra.
Jordan is set to finalize its preparations with a friendly match against Colombia on June 7, prior to competing in Group J alongside Austria, Algeria, and Argentina. This World Cup will mark Jordan's much-anticipated debut on the global stage, following their runner-up finish at the AFC Asian Cup two and a half years ago.
