JNU Student Union Elections Expected This November
Upcoming Elections at Jawaharlal Nehru University
The student union elections at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are anticipated to take place in November this year. To oversee the election process, the university has officially established a grievance redressal cell.
University officials have indicated that the elections are likely to occur either in the middle or towards the end of November.
According to an official circular, the elections are expected to be held six to eight weeks after the commencement of the academic session for PhD students, which began on September 12.
In this context, a notification issued by the Dean of Students' Office announced the formation of the grievance redressal cell (GRC) to address issues related to the conduct of the elections. This cell, chaired by Professor Manuradha Chaudhary, includes ten faculty members and two student representatives.
