Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the Spotlight

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been making headlines not only for his performance on the field but also for his off-field antics. Recently, he went viral for having fun with children, which sparked discussions. A statement from Jitesh Sharma regarding Vaibhav has now intensified the conversation. The RCB wicketkeeper-batsman referred to Vaibhav as unprofessional during a podcast, prompting him to clarify his remarks.

Jitesh Sharma's Clarification

In a special podcast shared by RCB on their X handle, Jitesh Sharma was seen conversing with Mr. Nags. During this chat, Nags asked Jitesh about his comment labeling Vaibhav as unprofessional. Jitesh explained that his words were taken out of context and emphasized that he considers Vaibhav like a younger brother.

When asked why he called Vaibhav unprofessional, Jitesh responded: "Because he is, he is a very good friend of mine, very close. I can say anything to him. The question from AB Sir was about which young Indian cricketer could become a big star. My straightforward answer was Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. I mentioned his technique and work ethic, which makes him capable of playing all three formats."

The Context of His Remarks

Jitesh further elaborated that AB had remarked on Vaibhav's professionalism, to which he replied, "No, he is not professional. He is just a 15-year-old kid who loves ice cream. He comes to my room, eats ice cream, watches TV with me, and chats with my wife. He is very close to me, like a younger brother. I don't care what people think."

Keeping Vaibhav's Youth in Mind

Jitesh expressed concern about the professional environment surrounding Vaibhav, stating, "There is a lot of professionalism around him now. But he is just a 15-year-old kid." Nags humorously suggested that they should let the kid be a kid. Jitesh agreed, saying, "Yes, when he is with me, he acts like a child, enjoying and staying happy." Nags jokingly remarked that they would only show the unprofessional side of him.

Emerging Young Star for CSK

After a 103-run victory in their first encounter, CSK won by 8 wickets in the latest match, where Karthik Sharma scored an unbeaten 54 runs, drawing attention with his celebration reminiscent of MS Dhoni.
