Students Engage with Jharkhand Government Over JPSC Paper Leak

In Ranchi, students protesting against the JPSC paper leak have expressed their willingness to engage in discussions with the Jharkhand government, requesting a video recording of the meeting. This development comes as hundreds of students continue their demonstrations regarding alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC exam, JSSC-CGL, and other recruitment tests, calling for a CBI investigation and reforms in recruitment agencies.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren remarked that the issue of alleged paper leaks in recruitment exams is not just a state concern but a national one. He emphasized his government's commitment to addressing the students' grievances. This statement followed an escalation in protests, with five more demonstrators joining an indefinite hunger strike over alleged discrepancies in PSC and SSC exams in the state.

Soren acknowledged that the concerns of the youth are of utmost importance to the government, stating that the alleged paper leak is a significant national issue affecting young people across various states. He assured that his administration is taking the matter seriously, with agencies conducting round-the-clock investigations and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable. The goal, he noted, is not only to investigate but also to provide comprehensive solutions for the youth.

In a significant turn of events, the Chief Minister reiterated that the doors of the Jharkhand government are always open to all. Any student or candidate with demands or suggestions is welcome to present their case to the state government. One student involved in the JPSC protests claimed that no action had been taken from previous investigations into the JSSC-CGL paper leak, expressing concerns that this latest inquiry might also be suppressed in a few months.
