FIR Filed for Threatening High-Profile Leaders

Ranchi, August 2: The Jharkhand police have initiated legal action against an individual for allegedly issuing death threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This information was confirmed by an official on Sunday. The FIR was lodged at the Nagri police station in Ranchi district based on a complaint from Ritesh Raj Mahto, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagri Mandal.


Abhishek Rai, the officer in charge of the Nagri police station, informed a news agency that the complaint indicated that Aleem Ansari, a resident of Saher village within the same police jurisdiction, had posted an objectionable video on social media. In this video, he allegedly used derogatory language against Modi, Shah, and Adityanath, along with making threats to their lives. Rai stated, “We have registered an FIR against the accused and have commenced a thorough investigation into the matter. The complainant mentioned that the accused attempted to disrupt social harmony and openly insult constitutional authorities by posting the objectionable video.”


The official noted that the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused will be apprehended following the completion of the investigation.
