Assembly's Decision on Voter List Review

In Jharkhand, the ruling 'India' coalition has decided to pass a resolution in the assembly during the monsoon session, opposing the special intensive review of the voter list.


The coalition also aims to provide logical responses to questions raised by the opposition during the session.


The monsoon session is set to commence on Friday and will conclude on August 7, spanning five working days.


Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed reporters after chairing a meeting, stating, “During the meeting, various issues were discussed, including the special intensive review matter in Bihar. The 'India' coalition opposes the Election Commission's decision, and we stand against it as well.”


The Chief Minister also mentioned discussions regarding the 'misuse' of constitutional institutions by the central government.


Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radhakrishna Kishore confirmed that a resolution against the intensive review of the voter list will be passed in the assembly during the session.
