A brazen theft at a jewelry store in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has left local merchants alarmed. A young man, posing as a customer, managed to distract the shopkeeper and made off with gold worth approximately ₹3.25 lakh before fleeing the scene. The incident caused a stir in the neighborhood.

According to reports, the suspect entered the store under the pretense of purchasing a silver amulet. Initially, he behaved like an ordinary customer, requesting to see various designs of the amulet while keeping the shopkeeper engaged in conversation.

It is said that the thief seized the opportunity to swipe gold jewelry from the counter. The shopkeeper realized something was amiss only after the young man abruptly exited the store, leading to a check that revealed the gold was missing.

The stolen jewelry is valued at around ₹3.25 lakh. Following the incident, the store owner promptly alerted the police. A team arrived at the scene and began reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras.

Initial investigations indicate that the suspect's actions were captured on camera. Authorities noted that he executed the theft with considerable cunning. Efforts are underway to identify him based on the footage.
