Workshop on E-Lease and Layout Approvals
JDA Conducts Workshop for E-Lease Applications
Jaipur, May 21. The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) organized a workshop on IT initiatives, focusing on the complete process of issuing e-leases and layout plan approvals on May 21, 2025, at the JDA premises.
The workshop saw participation from JDA Commissioner Anandi, Secretary Nishant Jain, all additional commissioners, deputy commissioners, IT officials, senior JDA officials, and representatives from various organizations including Todar, CREDAI, UKMA, and private developers, along with a large number of citizens. This event served as a crucial platform to enhance JDA's online services and understand the needs of the public.
During the workshop, live applications for e-leases and layout plan approvals were accepted, and approvals were issued on the spot. Currently, JDA offers a total of 39 online services to the public. The workshop also provided insights into the IT initiatives undertaken in the past six months.
Key services discussed included the entire process from online application to the issuance of e-leases and layout plan approvals. Detailed information was shared regarding the online application process for layout plan approvals.
Commissioner Anandi emphasized that JDA has initiated a comprehensive e-governance system aimed at making its services more transparent, secure, and user-friendly for both citizens and builders. This new initiative allows individuals and businesses to complete property-related tasks online with ease.
Main services provided by JDA include:
E-Lease: Applicants can now apply online for e-leases, facilitating quicker and easier documentation. The process includes online e-signing and verification through QR codes by both the applicant and the witness.
Name Transfer: Integrated with the e-registration system, the name transfer process has been simplified using a unique 15-digit number. Transaction status can also be tracked via WhatsApp.
90A Cases: Records for 90A cases will be automatically updated through the e-Dharati portal, expediting the auto-mutation process and reducing errors.
Jaipur Master Plan: The use of real-time data and digital tools like QR codes and GIS is enhancing the management of planning and development activities with greater transparency and efficiency.
This initiative not only reduces the need for documentation but also makes the process more transparent and user-friendly. Advanced security measures such as biometric and OTP-based authentication ensure complete safety in property transactions.
JDA aims to improve service delivery through advanced technology for the benefit of citizens and builders, with plans to include more services, such as e-stamping, in the future to streamline processes further.
This new system represents a significant step towards the development of Jaipur as a smart city, making it more digital, empowered, and transparent.
During the workshop, Commissioner Anandi noted that the event was specifically organized for developers and builders' associations who frequently engage with JDA. She highlighted the importance of providing detailed information about JDA's online services to the public and developers.
With the complete online integration of the Master Plan 2025, citizens can now easily access information about permissible constructions and activities on specific lands, preventing future issues. The Master Plan 2025 has also been superimposed with land records, allowing anyone to upload their land details and view them online.
The workshop also informed developers and builders about the main online services offered by JDA, as they are involved in land purchases and project developments.
To reduce the need for citizens to visit JDA multiple times for land lease applications, all 39 services have been made available online using the latest IT technologies.
She mentioned that India is renowned for its various online services globally. Keeping this in mind, JDA has been continuously working over the past nine months to fully digitize the lease issuance process, which will allow citizens, developers, and builders to apply online from anywhere in the world once UIDAI data access is granted in the next 15 days. The entire process will be online, enabling tracking from any location, eliminating the need for applicants and witnesses to visit JDA offices.
The integration of online registration software will be completed in the next 15 days. The workshop also included participation from the DIG of stamps to provide detailed information about the online process.
With all 39 services now available online, the need for citizens, developers, and builders to visit JDA will significantly decrease, reducing the risk of fraud and fake leases. The online availability of services has also brought complete transparency to the entire operational process and database.
Representatives from Todar, CREDAI, UKMA, and private developer associations, along with the public, expressed their gratitude to the state government, urban development department, JDC, and JDA.
