Jasprit Bumrah Prepares for Lord's Test with Intense Practice Session
Bumrah's Return to Action
Jasprit Bumrah, known for his exceptional speed, showcased impressive form during India's practice session ahead of the third Test against England at Lord's. After being rested for the second Test at Edgbaston to manage his workload following a demanding 43.4-over performance in the series opener, Bumrah appears ready to return with renewed vigor.
Prior to the tour, head coach Gautam Gambhir indicated that Bumrah would be carefully managed, participating in only three of the five Tests. Although specific matches were not mentioned, it is now confirmed that the Test at Lord's will be one of them.
During a rigorous 45-minute net session, Bumrah gradually increased his pace, culminating in full intensity towards the end. Notably, he also focused on his batting skills, facing left-arm spin and refining his technique against throwdowns.

Bumrah's return may come at the expense of Prasidh Krishna, who has yet to make a significant impact on the tour. Additionally, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen practicing alongside Bumrah, putting in a solid effort during a nearly hour-long session.
Several key players, including captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj, were rested during training.
Looking Ahead to the Lord's Test
While Bumrah was sidelined during the Edgbaston Test, his replacement Akash Deep took full advantage of the opportunity, delivering a standout performance with figures of 4 for 88 in the first innings and a remarkable match total of 10 for 187, marking the best by an Indian bowler at that venue.
With Akash Deep's impressive showing, alongside Siraj's reliability and Bumrah's anticipated return, India is set to enter the Lord's Test with a formidable pace attack ready to challenge England on their home turf. The third and final Test of the series is scheduled to commence on July 10, promising an exciting showdown with the series currently tied at 1-1.
