Jarmanpreet Singh Achieves 150 International Caps for India in Hockey

On Tuesday, Hockey India celebrated defender Jarmanpreet Singh for reaching the impressive milestone of 150 international caps for the Indian Men's Hockey Team. This achievement occurred during India's match against Spain in the Hobart leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025/26 held in Australia.
A Rising Star from Punjab
Originating from Rajdhan village in Punjab's Amritsar district, Jarmanpreet has become one of India's most reliable defenders, known for his skill, poise, and defensive intelligence. He made his senior international debut at the Men's Hockey Champions Trophy in the Netherlands in 2018, where India finished as runners-up, marking the start of a significant international career.
A Decorated Career
One of the highlights of Jarmanpreet's career was his pivotal role in helping India secure a Bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, a landmark achievement that solidified his status as an essential player for the national team. He has been part of numerous successes for Indian hockey, including winning Gold at the Men's Asian Champions Trophy in Muscat, Oman, and contributing to India's third-place finish at the Men's Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Additionally, he was part of the Indian squad that earned Silver at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Continuing his streak of success, Jarmanpreet also won Gold at the Asian Games and played crucial roles in the Asian Champions Trophy in Chennai 2023, Asian Champions Trophy in China 2024, and the Men's Hockey Asia Cup in Rajgir, Bihar 2025, showcasing his consistent contributions to the team's dominance in the region.
