This operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the infrastructure supporting illegal drug trade. The seized properties include a residential building and a shopping complex, all acquired through illicit means. The police have confirmed Mir's involvement in a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, highlighting the serious measures being taken to combat drug-related crimes in the region.

Significant Asset Seizure in Jammu and Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir Police announced on Wednesday the confiscation of assets valued at ₹3 crore belonging to a notorious drug trafficker.


According to police reports, these assets were acquired through proceeds from drug trafficking activities.


A police spokesperson stated that as part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related threats and dismantle the infrastructure supporting illegal drug trade, the Srinagar police have seized a two-story residential building, a two-story shopping complex, and over one kanal of land, collectively valued at approximately ₹3 crore.


These properties belong to Ejaz Ahmed Mir, a well-known drug trafficker residing in the Palpora Noorbagh area of the city. The spokesperson indicated that Mir is allegedly involved in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). During the investigation, it was established that the accused had acquired these assets using illegal income generated from drug trafficking.
