Jammu and Kashmir Police Launches Major Raids Against Terrorism and Online Recruitment
Intensive Raids Across Kashmir
Srinagar: On Tuesday, the Counter-Intelligence unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police executed coordinated raids at various sites throughout Kashmir, targeting a case linked to terrorism and the online promotion of terrorist activities.
Authorities reported that these simultaneous operations were part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-related case that involves the online glorification of terrorism and recruitment efforts.
Raids were conducted at 12 different locations across seven districts, including Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, and Kupwara.
According to officials, the searches were authorized through proper search warrants related to FIR No. 03/2023, which was filed under Sections 153-A and 505 of the IPC, as well as Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at the Counter-Intelligence Police Station. This case focuses on terror-related offenses, particularly the online promotion and dissemination of terrorist ideologies aimed at radicalizing and recruiting individuals into terrorist groups.
Further information is pending.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with security forces, are intensifying their anti-terror operations against terrorists, their associates, and sympathizers. This revised approach aims to dismantle the entire support network for terrorism rather than just targeting armed terrorists.
Security forces are also scrutinizing drug traffickers, peddlers, and those involved in hawala money operations and other illegal financial activities.
It is suspected that the funds generated from these illegal activities are ultimately used to support terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Anti-terror operations are being conducted in the region by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces.
The Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) are stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border to prevent infiltration, exfiltration, drug trafficking, and drone activities originating from across the border.
Recently, on November 13, the Counter-Intelligence wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids in connection with a "white-collar terror module" and the terror blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.
