Action Against Illegal Developments in Jaipur

On May 28, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) took decisive action by demolishing two illegal colonies spanning approximately 13 bighas of agricultural land in Zone-14. In Shivdaspura, 20 unauthorized shops constructed for commercial purposes on the basement and ground floor were sealed effectively.

The Inspector General of Police, Kailash Chandra Vishnoi, reported that around 5 bighas of private agricultural land in Shivdaspura was leveled without JDA's approval or land conversion. This area was being developed into a new illegal colony named 'Arihant Enclave' with unauthorized roads and boundary walls. The enforcement team, guided by JDA's revenue and technical staff, utilized JCB machinery and laborers to successfully dismantle these illegal constructions.

Additionally, another illegal colony named 'Adinath Colony' was also targeted, where similar unauthorized constructions were reported on approximately 8 bighas of land. The enforcement team acted promptly to prevent the establishment of this new colony.

In response to the construction of 20 illegal shops in Shivdaspura, the builder was issued a notice under Sections 32 and 33 of the JDA Act, mandating the removal of these unauthorized structures. However, as the builder failed to comply, a notice under Section 34(a) was issued, leading to the sealing of the shop entrances with locks and seals on May 28, 2025.

Furthermore, in Zone-13, the JDA acted on reports of encroachment on a public road in Bhankpur Kala, where soil mounds and thorny fences had been erected. The enforcement team, with the assistance of JCB machinery and laborers, cleared the encroachments, restoring access to the public road. These operations were conducted under the supervision of Chief Controller of Enforcement, Adarsh Chaudhary, along with the relevant enforcement officers and staff.
