Government Land Cleared of Illegal Occupations

On May 16, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) successfully reclaimed approximately one bigha of government land in Zone-14, Gwar Brahman. This action was taken against illegal warehouses constructed for commercial purposes near Bilwa Gate, which were sealed off effectively. Additionally, two unauthorized colonies built on around 28 bighas of private agricultural land in Zone-14 were completely demolished.

According to Inspector General of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, local farmers had illegally occupied about one bigha of government land in Gwar Brahman by dumping soil and creating pathways. Upon receiving this information, the enforcement team, guided by the revenue and technical staff of Zone-14, utilized JCB machines and laborers to clear the encroachments.

The JDA issued notices under Sections 32 and 33 of the JDA Act to the builders of illegal warehouses constructed on plots 566, 628/2134, and 628/2135 near Bilwa Gate. Despite the notice, the illegal structures were not removed, prompting the JDA to issue a notice under Section 34 (k) for sealing the entrances of these warehouses with brick walls on May 16, 2025.

In Zone-11, located in Pawaliya village, Jaipur district, the JDA acted against unauthorized construction on approximately two bighas of private agricultural land. Reports indicated that gravel roads, boundary walls, and other illegal constructions were being established without JDA approval. The enforcement team dismantled these structures with the help of JCB machines and laborers, thwarting the establishment of a new illegal colony.

Similarly, in Zone-13, the JDA took action against illegal encroachments on government land in Kanota, where local farmers had erected stone columns and fencing. The enforcement team, under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Zone-13, successfully cleared the encroachments, restoring the government land.

The enforcement department of the JDA reported that in 2024, 817 bighas of government land were reclaimed, and in 2025, 401 bighas have been cleared so far, totaling 1218 bighas. Additionally, 534 illegal colonies have been demolished in these two years, preventing further unauthorized developments.
