Encroachment Removal in Jaipur

On May 21, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) successfully reclaimed approximately 2 bighas of government land in Harwar village, located in the Amer tehsil of Zone-13. Additionally, in Zone-10, 20 illegal shops constructed on the basement and ground floor along the Chavand Mand, Sayapura Jamwaramgarh road were sealed effectively.

According to Inspector General of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, local farmers had illegally occupied around 2 bighas of government land in Khasra No. 55, using cement pillars, iron angles, gates, and fencing. Upon receiving this information, the enforcement team, assisted by JCB machinery and laborers, cleared the encroachments under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Zone-13.

In Zone-10, the construction of 20 illegal shops for commercial purposes led to the issuance of notices under Sections 32 and 33 of the JDA Act to the builder, mandating the removal of the unauthorized structures. As the builder failed to comply, a notice under Section 34 (k) was issued, resulting in the sealing of the shop entrances with brick walls and locks on May 21, 2025.

In Zone-14, a new illegal colony was dismantled on approximately 5 bighas of private agricultural land without JDA approval. The enforcement team, guided by the revenue and technical staff, utilized JCB machinery to demolish the unauthorized constructions, thwarting the establishment of the illegal colony. This operation was conducted under the oversight of Chief Enforcement Controller Adarsh Chaudhary.

The enforcement department of JDA has successfully reclaimed a total of 1,220 bighas of government land from encroachments in 2024 and 2025, while also demolishing 537 new illegal colonies during the same period.
