Jaipur Authorities Deport Nine Foreign Women for Visa Violations

Jaipur, July 27: In a significant crackdown on illegal foreign residents, the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) have deported nine women who were found living in Jaipur after their visas had expired.
These women were primarily employed at various spa and wellness centers throughout the city.
According to officials, the women had entered India on tourist or short-term visas but overstayed without valid documentation.
After verification, they were detained and subsequently deported to their home countries.
Authorities have issued a warning that stringent measures will continue against foreigners who breach India's immigration laws.
As per FRRO officials, the deported individuals include five from Thailand, along with one each from Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Laos.
Most of these women were working as therapists in upscale spa centers in Jaipur.
This operation was initiated based on intelligence reports and information from local police.
FRRO teams conducted surprise inspections at several spa centers across the city, where they verified passports and visa documents. During these checks, it was discovered that the women were residing in India despite their visas having expired, leading to immediate action.
Following the operation, Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) Dharmendra Sagar urged landlords, hotel owners, guest house operators, and homestay providers to adhere strictly to immigration regulations when accommodating foreign nationals.
He instructed them to verify the original passport and visa of every foreign guest before providing accommodation, mandatorily upload guest details through the online C-Form on the Immigration Department portal, and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements under the Foreigners Act.
The FRO cautioned that any hotelier, landlord, or accommodation provider found housing a foreign national without filing the required C-Form or allowing someone to stay with an expired visa would face severe legal consequences under the Foreigners Act.
Officials noted that this recent operation is part of an ongoing initiative to identify and deport foreign nationals living illegally in Rajasthan and to ensure that commercial establishments comply fully with immigration regulations.
