The National Volleyball Championship 2026, organized by the International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO), took place at CHIREC International School in Hyderabad from October 7 to 10, 2026. This four-day event featured participation from over 45 teams representing international schools across India, competing in six categories: Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 for both boys and girls. The event showcased the increasing popularity of volleyball and the enhancement of competitive school sports in India.

Highlights from Across the Nation
Jayshree Periwal International School stood out by winning two national titles in the Under-17 Girls and Under-19 Boys categories.
Schools from Ahmedabad showcased strong performances, with GEMS Genesis International School winning the Under-14 Girls title and Anand Niketan International School claiming the Under-14 Boys championship.
Hyderabad schools demonstrated their competitive strength, with CHIREC International School winning the Under-19 Girls title and The Gaudium School excelling in the Under-17 Boys category. Sreenidhi International School and Aga Khan Academy also achieved podium finishes.
Cedar Valley International School from Khammam's second-place finish in the Under-14 Boys category highlights the expanding reach of competitive volleyball beyond major cities.
Most Promising Player Awards
The Most Promising Player awards recognized exceptional individual performances across all categories. Raghavi from GEMS Genesis International School was honored in the Under-14 Girls category, while Dhruva from Sreenidhi International School received the award for Under-14 Boys.
In the Under-17 categories, Arunima from Jayshree Periwal International School was awarded in the Girls category, and Abhiram from The Gaudium School was recognized in the Boys category. Aadya Varma Koneti from CHIREC International School won the Under-19 Girls award, while Kavesh Goyal from Jayshree Periwal International School was named Most Promising Player in the Under-19 Boys category.
