Israel has inadvertently revealed a strategy that could significantly alter India's approach, particularly regarding Kashmir. Experts suggest that implementing a similar strategy could enhance security in the region. Just as Israel faces threats along its borders, India contends with its own challenges. Recently, there has been a noticeable decline in the Jewish population in certain areas of Israel, reminiscent of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their homeland. In response to escalating threats from Hezbollah, Israel has initiated a robust operation in the Upper Galilee region, which borders Lebanon. This area has seen a demographic shift, with an increasing number of Palestinians settling there as Jewish residents have fled due to security concerns.

Consequently, Palestinians in Upper Galilee have begun assisting Hezbollah, drawing parallels to the situation in Kashmir where some locals support Pakistani terrorists. To address this issue, Israel has devised an innovative solution.

Israel has initiated a program to encourage Jews living abroad to return home, starting with the Bene Menashe community in Northeast India. Over the next five years, Israel plans to resettle approximately 6,000 Jews from this community in Upper Galilee. This move aims to prevent a one-sided demographic situation near its borders. Imagine if India were to adopt a similar approach. While the feasibility and challenges of such a plan are complex, it is not impossible. If India were to facilitate the resettlement of Hindus from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan near its borders, it could yield significant benefits.

Israel's Law of Return allows Jews worldwide to claim citizenship, a concept that India has begun to explore through its Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). If Hindus from neighboring countries were to settle in border areas of India, there could be multiple advantages. For instance, Pakistani Hindus settling near the Kashmir border would possess valuable insights into local dynamics, having lived alongside Pakistani jihadists. Their familiarity with the region could enhance security and stability.
