IDF Uncovers Hezbollah Weapons in Bint Jbeil

As security dynamics shift in the Middle East, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Thursday that they uncovered over 130 weapons associated with Hezbollah inside a school in the Bint Jbeil area. In a post on social media, they detailed that the seized arms included Kalashnikov rifles, handguns, and various other weapons. According to the IDF, alongside the weapons, soldiers also found Hezbollah flags and insignia from other terrorist organizations. This revelation came shortly after the IDF announced that it had destroyed nearly 70 Hezbollah terrorist sites in just one minute.

In another operation, IDF troops reportedly eliminated dozens of terrorists. Al Jazeera noted that Hezbollah had previously claimed responsibility for two drone attacks targeting Israeli military installations in northern Israel. The group asserted that it conducted drone strikes against IDF bases near Nahariya, as well as a second attack aimed at an Israeli settlement located north of Liman Barracks. Hezbollah claimed that its fighters executed 39 military operations in the last 24 hours, targeting Israeli settlements, troop concentrations, and military vehicles, along with clashes occurring along the southern border and northern Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister's Statement on Ongoing Operations

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli military continues its targeted operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon while also engaging in talks aimed at achieving long-term peace. In a video message posted on social media, Netanyahu expressed his support for the residents in the north who remain steadfast, emphasizing that Israeli forces are actively attacking Hezbollah. Intense fighting is reported to be ongoing in Bint Jbeil.

Netanyahu described Bint Jbeil as a significant stronghold for Hezbollah, asserting, "We are going to defeat Bint Jbeil; we are truly going to completely dismantle this major Hezbollah stronghold." He also mentioned that Israel is engaged in rare discussions with Lebanon, aimed at "eliminating Hezbollah" and achieving "lasting peace—peace through strength."
