Israel Strikes Iran: A Deep Dive into the Ongoing Military Conflict

Intensifying Military Actions in Tehran
Tel Aviv: On Friday, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported executing a series of airstrikes in Tehran, targeting numerous locations associated with Iran's missile and nuclear weapon initiatives. Key targets included military industrial sites involved in missile production and the headquarters of Iran’s Organisation of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND).
The IDF stated, "Over 60 fighter jets conducted strikes on various military targets in Iran overnight, guided by precise intelligence from our Intelligence Branch, deploying around 120 munitions. Several missile manufacturing facilities in the Tehran region were hit during these operations."
The military emphasized that these facilities, developed over several years, served as the core industrial hub for the Iranian Ministry of Defence. The strikes specifically targeted sites for missile component production and facilities for creating raw materials essential for rocket engine casting.
Additionally, the IDF confirmed that the SPND headquarters, which focuses on researching and developing advanced military technologies for Iran, was also struck. This facility was established in 2011 by Fakhri Zadeh, a key figure in Iran's nuclear weapons program.
The Israeli military also reported targeting a site crucial for producing components necessary for Iran's nuclear weapons agenda.
During the night, the Israeli Air Force intercepted four drones launched from Iran, further escalating tensions.
As the conflict between Israel and Iran entered its eighth day, the IDF detected missiles recently fired from Iran towards Israeli territory. In response, alerts were issued to Israeli citizens, urging them to seek shelter in protected areas until further notice.
The IDF warned, "Defense systems are actively working to counter the threat. Citizens must remain in secure locations upon receiving alerts and follow the Home Front Command's directives. Exiting these areas will only be permitted after explicit instructions are given."
Following the missile launches from Iran, alerts were activated in multiple regions across Israel. The IDF reiterated the importance of adhering to the Home Front Command's guidelines, stating, "The Air Force is engaged in intercepting and attacking as necessary to neutralize the threat. The defense is not foolproof, and compliance with the Home Front Command's instructions is crucial."
This latest escalation began last Friday when Prime Minister Netanyahu announced 'Operation Rising Lion,' a military initiative aimed at countering the Iranian nuclear threat, which he claims jeopardizes Israel's existence. This declaration has led to rapid and aggressive responses from Tehran, heightening the risk of a broader regional conflict.
