Israel's Support for India's Defense Against Terrorism

New Delhi: Israel has reaffirmed its backing for India's right to defend itself against terrorism as the Indian military executed 'Operation Sindoor', targeting nine significant terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

This military action was initiated in response to the terror incident in Pahalgam on April 22, leading to the launch of Operation Sindoor late Tuesday night.

Reuven Azar, the Israeli Ambassador to India, expressed on X, "Israel supports India's right to self-defense. Terrorists must understand that there is no refuge from their despicable acts against innocent lives."

The operation specifically aimed at camps and logistical centers associated with terrorist organizations responsible for the Pahalgam attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian intelligence has attributed the attack to terror groups based in Pakistan, with The Resistance Front, a known affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, claiming responsibility.

Following the operation, the Indian Army stated, "A short while ago, the Indian Armed Forces initiated 'Operation Sindoor', targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where attacks against India have been orchestrated and directed."

An army spokesperson confirmed the strikes were precise and limited in scope, emphasizing, "Our operations were focused and targeted solely at terrorist camps involved in planning and executing attacks against India."

The spokesperson added, "The operation was designed to be non-escalatory in both intent and execution. Justice has been served. Jai Hind."

The Indian government reported that all nine targets were successfully hit, with no impact on civilian, military, or economic structures in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior officials, monitored the operation closely throughout the night, maintaining constant communication with national security advisors and military leaders to ensure the operation's success.
