Washington. On Monday, Israel executed a series of significant attacks on various military sites in Iran. According to media reports, heavy bombardment targeted three airports located near Tehran. Israel claims that these strikes aimed at multiple aircraft, helicopters, and other military facilities.
During this operation, a powerful explosion occurred at a major naval base in Bushehr. This base houses not only naval facilities but also an air force base, air defense systems, and underground storage for missiles and drones.
Additionally, Israel has renewed its assault on Iran's largest gas field, South Pars, which is crucial for the country and is recognized as the largest gas field in the world. This attack could significantly impact Iran's energy supply and economy.
Iran Threatens to Disrupt Global Supply Chains
In response, Iran has threatened to disrupt global supply chains if attacks from the U.S. and Israel escalate. As reported by Al Jazeera, Iran stated it could target maritime routes beyond Hormuz.
Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, indicated that any major retaliation would not only be military but would also affect global energy and trade.
He warned that not just the Strait of Hormuz, but also critical maritime routes like Bab-el-Mandeb could be at risk.
This statement comes at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to Iran regarding the reopening of the Hormuz Strait, threatening severe action.
Previously, Houthi rebels, considered close to Iran, had claimed to have attacked ships in the Red Sea.
Trump Comments on Iranian Military Strength
Donald Trump remarked that while Iranians are skilled fighters, they are not as powerful as they once were. He noted that the enemy (Iran) remains strong, but their capabilities have diminished significantly due to ongoing attacks and pressure.
Houthi Attacks on Israeli Military Installations
Houthi rebels from Yemen have claimed responsibility for an attack on the Israeli city of Eilat, stating they collaborated with Iran and Hezbollah to target several key military sites in Israel.
In a statement aired on the Houthi organization's TV channel, Al-Masirah, they described the operation as a joint attack. The Israeli military has acknowledged that drones were sent from Yemen towards Eilat.

Israel has asserted that it targeted the largest petrochemical plant in Assaluyeh, which accounted for approximately 50% of Iran's petrochemical production. Two Ships Carrying 60,000 Tons of LPG to Arrive in India Soon
Despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, there is good news for India. The government has confirmed that two ships carrying LPG (cooking gas) have safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz and are expected to reach India soon.
The ships, named Green Sadhvi and Green Asha, are carrying over 60,000 tons of gas combined. Green Sadhvi is expected to arrive by April 7, while Green Asha is set to arrive by April 9.
Officials have stated that both vessels are completely secure and have Indian sailors on board. One ship carries approximately 46,000 tons, while the other holds about 15,000 tons of gas.
Additionally, it was reported that there are currently 16 Indian ships in the area, employing over 400 Indian workers. Fortunately, no incidents have occurred involving any Indian vessels thus far.
