Israel Conducts Major Airstrike, Eliminating Key Iranian Military Leaders
Significant Military Action by Israel
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the successful targeting of three high-ranking Iranian military officials, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Commander of the IRGC, and the head of Iran’s Emergency Command. This operation involved over 200 fighter jets executing strikes across various locations in Iran. The IDF has characterized these individuals as 'ruthless mass murderers' responsible for international violence, asserting that their removal contributes to global safety.
In an official statement, the IDF confirmed: 'We can now confirm that the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Commander of the IRGC, and the Commander of Iran’s Emergency Command were all eliminated in the Israeli strikes across Iran by more than 200 fighter jets. These are three ruthless mass murderers with international blood on their hands. The world is a better place without them.'

The IDF's operation was part of a preemptive strike aimed at Iran's nuclear capabilities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the initiation of 'Operation Rising Lion', a focused military campaign designed to mitigate the Iranian threat. He emphasized that this operation would persist until the threat is fully neutralized.
In a video address, Netanyahu stated, 'Moments ago, Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel’s very survival. This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat.'
The first phase of the operation involved numerous Israeli Air Force jets targeting various military and nuclear facilities throughout Iran, as reported by the IDF. In response to these developments, Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz has declared a state of emergency across the nation.
