Israel's Airstrike on Yemen

On Sunday, Israel executed significant airstrikes in Yemen, as reported by the Defence Forces, amidst increasing tensions in the Middle East. The operation aimed to eliminate a prominent Houthi military figure, Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, according to sources from the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) cited by a local media outlet. However, an official statement from the IDF regarding this operation has not yet been released.

Simultaneously, Israel targeted locations in Tehran, attempting to intercept a series of missiles launched from Iran. In response, Houthi rebels, who are aligned with Tehran, asserted their right to defend themselves, as reported by a news channel. They condemned the Israeli actions against Iran and emphasized their entitlement to retaliate.

In a separate incident on June 10, Israel conducted an airstrike on Hodeidah, Yemen's fourth-largest city, claiming that Houthi rebels utilize the strategic port for weapon transportation. Reports confirmed that two piers at the port were destroyed. The Israeli military later acknowledged responsibility for the strike, stating that missiles were launched from naval vessels targeting the seaports. The number of casualties from this attack remains uncertain, but it is believed to be a response to a missile fired by the Houthis that failed to reach its intended target.
