Ireland Unveils Squad for ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier in Nepal

Ireland has revealed its 15-member team for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, set to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from January 18 to February 1, 2026, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Leadership and Training Plans
Gaby Lewis will captain the team, with Orla Prendergast serving as vice-captain. The Irish squad aims to secure a spot in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which will be hosted in England and Wales. To prepare, the team will leave for a six-day training camp in Dubai on January 6, 2026, before heading to Nepal on January 12. They are scheduled to play two warm-up matches against Nepal and Zimbabwe prior to the tournament.
