Iran's Supreme Leader Reportedly Killed in US-Israel Strikes
Supreme Leader's Death Reported
Tehran, March 1: According to Iranian state media, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has reportedly died as a result of airstrikes conducted by the US and Israel.
In response to the news of his death, the Iranian government has declared a mourning period lasting 40 days.
Reports indicate that the airstrikes also claimed the lives of four of Khamenei's family members, including his daughter, grandchild, and son-in-law.
Former US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to announce Khamenei's demise, labeling it the 'single greatest chance' for the Iranian people to regain control of their nation.
Trump described Khamenei as 'one of the most evil people in history,' asserting that his death represents 'justice for the people of Iran and for all great Americans, as well as individuals from various nations who have suffered at the hands of Khamenei and his violent associates.'
He further claimed that Khamenei could not escape the reach of US intelligence and advanced tracking systems, stating that there was nothing he or the other leaders killed could do to avoid the strikes.
Trump mentioned that many members of the IRGC and other military forces are now reluctant to continue fighting and are seeking immunity, reiterating a previous warning: 'Now they can have immunity; later, they only get death!'
He also asserted that the strikes not only resulted in Khamenei's death but significantly damaged the country.
Before Trump's announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted at Khamenei's demise, noting that there were 'many signs indicating Khamenei is no longer,' although he did not confirm the news directly. Netanyahu stated, 'Khamenei’s compound was destroyed.'
