Iran's Supreme Leader Health Rumors Dismissed by Government
Iranian Government Responds to Health Rumors
A significant update has emerged from Iran regarding the health of the country's Supreme Leader. A senior official from the Iranian government has firmly rejected reports circulating in American and Western media that claim Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei is in critical condition.
According to Ayatollah Mohsen Qomi, a member of the Iranian Experts Assembly and deputy head of international affairs in the Supreme Leader's office, these rumors are part of a calculated strategy. He stated that Western nations deliberately spread such misinformation to gauge Iran's reactions and exert international pressure.
Ayatollah Qomi further clarified that Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei is in good health and actively overseeing crucial national matters. He emphasized that Khamenei is directly involved in decisions related to diplomatic and military situations, continuously providing guidance.
It is noteworthy that there have been various reports regarding a recent attack. Qomi confirmed that Khamenei was present in the building that was targeted but had exited just minutes before the explosion, thereby escaping unharmed. He attributed this to divine intervention, highlighting the importance of Khamenei's safety for the nation.
Conversely, some American media outlets claimed that Khamenei sustained serious injuries from the attack, including hand surgery, facial burns, and the need for a prosthetic leg. However, Iranian officials have categorically dismissed these allegations as baseless.
Currently, Iran's leadership is prioritizing the Supreme Leader's security, as his leadership is deemed crucial for the country in the present circumstances. Qomi stated that despite numerous challenges, Khamenei maintains a firm grip on the situation and is effectively managing the nation.
Amidst this entire scenario, it has been noted that Khamenei has been appearing less in public following the recent attacks, which has fueled further speculation. However, the Iranian government has attributed this to security measures and has outright rejected the rumors.
