Iranian Drone Attack on Kuwait's Oil Refinery: What You Need to Know
Drone Assault on Mina al-Ahmadi
Dubai: On Friday, Iranian drones targeted the Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery in Kuwait, igniting fires within the facility.
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, which is state-owned, confirmed the incident and reported that firefighting teams were deployed to manage the flames.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the attack.
Kuwait has three operational oil refineries, and Mina al-Ahmadi has faced multiple assaults during the ongoing conflict.
These refineries play a crucial role in Kuwait's oil production; without them, oil wells would need to be shut down due to the absence of a processing destination.
Restarting these refineries is a lengthy process due to safety protocols, meaning that oil wells would remain largely inactive until the refineries are operational again.
