Iranian Diplomat Dismisses IAEA Chief's Comments on Nuclear Inspections

In a recent statement, Iranian diplomat Kazem Gharibabadi dismissed the head of the IAEA's remarks regarding nuclear site inspections, asserting that such actions will only be feasible after a final agreement between the US and Iran. He highlighted the absence of a meeting with Rafael Mariano Grossi in Switzerland and criticized the use of media hype to influence policy. Gharibabadi emphasized that discussions on nuclear issues will only take place within the framework of a conclusive agreement and the lifting of sanctions. Diplomatic Tensions Over Nuclear Inspections

Tokyo: An Iranian official has refuted statements made by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), asserting that inspections of nuclear sites will only occur following a conclusive agreement between the US and Iran.

Kazem Gharibabadi, who serves as a deputy foreign minister, expressed his views on X, responding to comments made earlier by Rafael Mariano Grossi during his visit to Japan.

Gharibabadi noted that there was no meeting with Grossi in Switzerland, despite his request, and emphasized that there are no plans to grant access to the facilities that have been targeted or to any nuclear materials.

He further stated that these matters will only be addressed within the context of a final agreement and contingent upon the other party taking concrete steps to lift all sanctions and related measures.

Gharibabadi criticized the approach of advancing policies through media sensationalism, stating that such tactics are ineffective.
