Iran Criticizes Western Nations for Exploiting IAEA for Political Gains

Iran's Strong Response to Western Nations

Iran has expressed strong disapproval towards the United States and three European countries—Germany, France, and Britain—accusing them of exploiting the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for their own interests.

Western Push for Anti-Iran Resolution

The spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry, Esmaeil Baqaei, responded to inquiries regarding the efforts of Western nations to promote an anti-Iran resolution during the IAEA's Board of Governors meeting in Vienna.

IAEA Misused for Political Objectives

Baqaei emphasized that while Iran has previously coordinated with the IAEA, the US and the three European nations have misused the agency for their political agendas.

He reaffirmed Iran's commitment to its interactions with the IAEA concerning the Non-Proliferation Treaty and Comprehensive Safeguard Agreements.

Reports indicate that France, Britain, Germany, and the United States are drafting a resolution against Iran for alleged 'non-compliance' with safeguard obligations.

Trump Seeks Russian Assistance in Nuclear Negotiations

Recently, Yury Ushakov, an aide to the President, revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the US-Iran nuclear deal during a phone call, with Trump seeking Russia's assistance in this matter.

Ushakov noted that their conversation included discussions on the stalled negotiations between the US and Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

"In addition to Ukraine, several international issues were addressed, particularly the halted discussions between the United States and Iran on the Iranian nuclear program. Donald Trump believes that Russia's involvement could be beneficial, and he would welcome cooperation with the Iranian side," he stated.
