Lieutenant Governor's Call for Pilgrimage Participation

Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, has extended an invitation to devotees across the nation to participate in the Shri Amarnath Yatra, commencing on July 3. He emphasized that this pilgrimage is not only a sacred spiritual journey but also a collective prayer for peace, progress, and prosperity for both Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country. Sinha urged all devotees to come in large numbers, assuring that the Jammu and Kashmir police, along with the army, CRPF, and other agencies, have made adequate security arrangements.


Traditional Rituals and Preparations

During his visit to the sacred cave temple of Baba Barfani, Lieutenant Governor Sinha performed the traditional 'Pratham Pooja,' marking the official commencement of the annual pilgrimage. He expressed, "Har Har Mahadev! I paid my respects to Baba Barfani and conducted the 'Pratham Pooja' in the holy cave. May Baba Amarnathji bless us all with his divine grace." Highlighting the extensive preparations, LG Sinha praised the collaborative efforts of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), Jammu and Kashmir administration, army, Border Roads Organization (BRO), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Jammu and Kashmir police, and other stakeholders.

He assured that all departments are working with utmost dedication, coordination, and commitment to ensure a smooth, hassle-free, and safe pilgrimage for all travelers. Security measures have been heightened, with the Jammu and Kashmir police, Indian Army, CRPF, CAPF, and other agencies implementing comprehensive arrangements for the safety of millions of pilgrims expected to visit the holy cave this year.
