Investigation Launched into Theft at Tej Pratap Yadav's Residence
Theft Investigation Initiated by Patna Police
Patna Police have commenced an investigation following a formal complaint regarding a significant theft at the residence of Tej Pratap Yadav, the president of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JJD). Today, Yadav visited the Secretariat police station to file a First Information Report (FIR) after discovering that cash and personal belongings were missing from his home. According to police reports, a theft indeed occurred at Yadav's residence, prompting them to visit the site for further inquiry.
Details of the Incident
In his complaint, Yadav stated that around 11:30 PM on Monday night, his driver, Anil Yadav, and another individual named Vishal witnessed a person, identified as his personal assistant, jumping over the boundary wall with a bag. Both witnesses claim that the theft was orchestrated by his PA. Yadav alleged that in addition to cash, valuable items were stolen, including a gold chain weighing over 23 grams, a gold ring, electronic gadgets, and mobile phones.
Police Response and Previous Complaints
Following the complaint, police officials inspected Yadav's residence in Patna on Tuesday but refrained from answering questions posed by journalists waiting outside. Earlier, on Friday, Tej Pratap Yadav had filed a complaint against Akash Yadav, the former president of the RJD student wing, along with seven others, accusing them of plotting to murder him. He indicated that the complaint was formally registered, and names were included in the FIR, asserting that there have been repeated attempts to tarnish his reputation.
Threats and Concerns
After filing the complaint, Tej Pratap Yadav spoke to reporters, stating, "I have arrived at the Secretariat police station. I have received death threats from Akash Yadav. All names are recorded in the FIR... There have been continuous efforts to damage my image. My father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, is unwell, and this is a conspiracy to harm both him and me. Akash Yadav wants to have me killed."
