Meat Found in Vacant Lot Sparks Controversy

In the Govardhan area of Mathura, pieces of meat were discovered in an empty plot behind a gym. Local residents have raised suspicions that the meat may be beef. The police have initiated an investigation and filed a case regarding the incident.


Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar reported on Sunday that the meat was found among bushes in the vacant lot behind the gym. Residents have alleged that the meat is from a cow, prompting the authorities to send it for forensic analysis.


Kumar further stated that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against 24 identified individuals and 50 unknown persons under relevant sections of the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act. The police have also obtained crucial leads from CCTV footage and are actively pursuing the investigation.
