Investigation Launched After Alleged Assault on Student in Ghaziabad

In Ghaziabad, a ninth-grade student reportedly faced sexual assault at her home by four minors. Among the accused, three are students from the same school as the victim. Police officials confirmed the incident on Wednesday and stated that an investigation is underway.

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred on Sunday morning in a housing society located in the Kavinar area while the girl was home alone, as her mother had gone to the market.

An official revealed that the minor girl had been in contact with one of the boys through Instagram, who had been messaging her to meet. On Sunday around 11:30 AM, he arrived at her house and knocked on the door. As soon as she opened it, he forcibly entered with three friends, and they allegedly assaulted her.

Mother's Intervention

The girl's mother returned from the market to find the door open. Upon entering, she discovered her daughter with the four boys. She managed to pull her daughter out of the room and locked the boys inside before calling the police.

Police Response

As the police were about to arrive, some officials from the society allegedly intervened and allowed the boys to leave. Assistant Police Commissioner Bhaskar Verma stated that the girl's father has filed a complaint against the four minors.

Verma added, 'The boys are in grades 11, 10, and 9. The girl has been sent for a medical examination, and her statement has not yet been recorded. The minors have not been apprehended. The police are actively investigating the case.' He emphasized that efforts are being made to uncover the facts and gather information regarding the incident.
