Himachal Pradesh Vigilance Bureau Intensifies Himcare Inquiry

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau of Himachal Pradesh is expanding its investigation into the contentious implementation of the Himcare health insurance program at IGMC Shimla. Former Senior Medical Superintendent, Dr. Janak Raj, has been called in for questioning.

Dr. Janak Raj held the position of Senior Medical Superintendent at IGMC from March 31, 2018, until October 18, 2022. The Vigilance Bureau has highlighted that this office was responsible for the administrative, supervisory, and monitoring aspects of the scheme's execution.
