Previously engaged in motorcycle repairs, Singh turned to illegal activities due to financial struggles. His gang reportedly trafficked weapons from Punjab to various regions, including Baghpat and Delhi. This arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat arms trafficking in the state.

Arrest of a Notorious Arms Smuggler

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended a member of an interstate gang involved in arms smuggling in Meerut district. The individual, identified as Dheerendra Singh, also known as Pintu Daadhi, hails from the Baraut area of Baghpat district.


This arrest took place on Thursday afternoon beneath the Rohta Road flyover in the Kankarkheda police station area. Dheerendra already has a case registered against him under the Arms Act.


During interrogation, Dheerendra revealed that he previously worked in motorcycle repairs. However, due to low earnings, he turned to arms smuggling, connecting with a gang that sourced weapons from Punjab for distribution in Baghpat, Meerut, Haryana, and Delhi.
