Intensified Security Operations Against Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir
Strengthening the Fight Against Terrorism
In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces are tightening their grip on terrorism. The army, police, Central Reserve Police Force, and the National Investigation Agency are collaboratively thwarting every attempt to spread terror from across the border. From dismantling terrorist hideouts in Poonch to searching for suspected militants in Rajouri, recovering suspicious drones in Samba, and issuing non-bailable warrants against Hafiz Saeed, the main conspirator behind the Pahalgam massacre, a clear message has been sent: India will not tolerate any leniency towards terrorism. The government's firm stance against terrorism, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is evident on the ground as security forces are committed to eradicating every facet of terror.
Recent Operations Yield Results
Recently, security forces discovered and completely destroyed a terrorist hideout in the border area of the Sawjian sector in Poonch district. During a joint search operation involving the police, Central Reserve Police Force, and the army, 246 cartridges of a general-purpose machine gun were recovered from the hideout. The site was subsequently obliterated to prevent any future use by terrorists for their plots. This operation reaffirms that security forces maintain vigilant oversight over every terrorist network operating from across the border.
Ongoing Search Operations in Rajouri
In Rajouri district's Thanamandi area, a wide search operation was launched following the emergence of CCTV footage showing two suspected terrorists. Joint teams from the army, Jammu and Kashmir police's special operations group, and the Central Reserve Police Force are conducting thorough searches in the villages of Bhanghai, Hasplote, Karyot, Kopra Top, and surrounding areas. Heavy rainfall has not hindered the pace of this operation, which coincides with an ongoing search for two to three hidden terrorists in the forests of the Mankot area since May. It is clear that security forces are not willing to allow terrorists any safe havens.
Intelligence-Based Operations in Surankot
In the Surankot area, operations were also conducted based on intelligence in the villages of Sangla and Gunthal, leading to the detention of several suspects for questioning. Additionally, a search was carried out at the ancestral home of a local terrorist in Chanti village of the Doda district, who is currently operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Although no incriminating materials were found, this action indicates that there is continuous monitoring of local contacts and support networks for terrorists.
Drone Recovery in Samba
Meanwhile, security agencies in Samba district remained alert. A local resident discovered a suspicious drone in a field near the Devak area during his morning walk. Upon receiving the information, the army and other security agencies arrived at the scene, confiscating the drone for investigation. A thorough examination is underway to assess its technical specifications, payload capacity, and potential cross-border connections. Given the attempts to smuggle weapons, ammunition, and narcotics via drones from across the border, this recovery is considered highly significant.
Legal Actions Against Terrorism
On the legal front, significant actions have also been taken against terrorism. A special court of the NIA has issued a non-bailable warrant against Hafiz Saeed, the leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba, in connection with the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The NIA has named him as an accused in its supplementary charge sheet, and the court has deemed his arrest and custodial interrogation necessary for a fair and effective investigation. Hafiz Saeed has already been designated a global terrorist and is considered the main conspirator behind the Mumbai attacks. Now, the legal noose has tightened around him concerning the murder of 26 innocent individuals, most of whom were tourists, in the Pahalgam incident.
A Comprehensive Strategy Against Terrorism
These simultaneous actions in Jammu and Kashmir demonstrate that India is not merely responding to terrorism but is actively working to dismantle its entire framework. From the masterminds of terror across the border to their local accomplices and hidden hideouts, every link is under continuous assault. The Modi government's clear policy is that there is no place for terrorism and its protectors in India. This is why security operations, intelligence actions, and legal processes are advancing together. The message is clear: there will be no escape for those spreading terror, and every conspiracy against national security will be met with a robust response.
