Integrated Ski Training Program Launched in Jammu and Kashmir
Launch of Ski Training Initiative
The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, inaugurated a 14-day integrated ski training program on Tuesday, aimed at promoting the region's renowned tourist destinations in the Kashmir Valley.
He announced that this year, approximately 500 to 600 students aged between 12 and 18 will receive certified ski training, which will also help boost winter tourism in these areas.

Popular skiing locations in the valley include Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Doodhpathri. The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister's office shared on social media, stating, “The Chief Minister has digitally launched the 14-day integrated ski training program at tourist spots like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Doodhpathri. The aim is to give these locations a new identity in the skiing domain.”
