Inspiring Real-Life Love Story of an Auto Driver and a French Woman
A Unique Love Story
Many of us have read countless love stories in books and watched numerous romantic films. Often, when a hero ends up with a beautiful heroine who seems out of his league, we think, 'This only happens in movies.' In reality, such love stories are rare. However, today we bring you a real-life love story that will leave you astonished. Some may feel envious, while others might wonder why they aren't blessed with such luck.
This tale revolves around Ranjit Singh, a 10th-grade dropout auto driver from Jaipur, and a beautiful woman from France. Coming from a poor family, Ranjit struggled academically from a young age. His passion lay in creative pursuits, but his family prioritized traditional education. After failing 10th grade, his family withdrew him from school and pushed him into work.
At just 16, Ranjit began driving an auto-rickshaw in Jaipur. Over the years, he noticed that many auto drivers spoke English, French, and Spanish to impress foreign tourists. Motivated by this, he decided to learn English. He recalls that while everyone was rushing towards the IT sector in 2008, he was focused on mastering the English language.
After several years of driving, Ranjit ventured into the tourism business, guiding foreign visitors around Rajasthan. During one of these tours, he met a French girl, and they quickly developed feelings for each other. Their first meeting took place at the City Palace, where they shared many memorable moments. After the trip, the girl returned to France, but they continued to communicate via Skype, realizing they had fallen in love.
Determined to be together, Ranjit attempted to visit France multiple times, but his visa applications were consistently rejected. Despite these setbacks, their relationship remained strong. Eventually, they staged a protest outside the French embassy, which led to Ranjit finally receiving a three-month visa.
In 2014, Ranjit married the French woman, and they welcomed two children together. After their marriage, he applied for a long-term visa, which required him to learn French. Currently, Ranjit lives in Geneva with his wife and children, working at a restaurant. His dream is to open his own restaurant soon.
