A Memorable Ceremony for Student Leaders

Today, Paras Public School in Bhawarna celebrated a significant oath-taking ceremony, welcoming the newly elected members of the Student Council. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong sense of leadership.
The event featured esteemed guests, including Mr. Vikram Jamwal and retired Principal Mr. Ashok Rana. Other notable attendees were Director Mr. Mahesh Chandra Katoch, Director Mrs. Saroj Katoch, Principal Mrs. Neelam Rana, Mr. Dishant Katoch, and Mr. Ravindra Katoch, with students from Classes V to XII participating in the ceremony.
The program commenced with the lighting of a lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati’s idol. Teachers Ms. Vani Verma and Ms. Renu Sharma highlighted the importance of the Vedas. Students showcased colorful cultural performances, and the four school houses were renamed in honor of the four Vedas.
A key moment of the ceremony was the formal induction of the new student leaders:

- Junior Head Boy: Ishant Kondal
- Junior Head Girl: Aparna
House Captains and Vice Captains were also appointed:
- Rigveda House: Captain Saniya, Vice Captain Kailash
- Yajurveda House: Captain Akshita, Vice Captain Vansh Chauhan
- Samaveda House: Captain Reet Raj, Vice Captain Nakshita
- Atharvaveda House: Captain Kanishka, Vice Captain Tanmay
Moreover, Ishant Goswami was selected as the Sports Captain. Each leader received a badge and took an oath to maintain discipline, honesty, and commitment.
The chief guest motivated the students with a message of patriotism, urging them to consider joining the Indian Army to serve the nation. Principal Mrs. Neelam Rana emphasized in her inspiring speech that “Leadership is not merely a title; it embodies service, responsibility, and ideals. A genuine leader influences others through their actions.”
She encouraged students to advance with confidence, discipline, unity, and a commitment to national service, stating that these values are essential for a promising future.
The ceremony wrapped up with a vote of thanks from Vice Principal Mrs. Manuja. More than just an oath-taking event, it was a significant occasion that fostered the spirit of leadership among the students.
