Inmates were informed about the National Lok Adalat, the Victim Compensation Scheme, mediation processes, and various legal service campaigns. Discussions were held regarding the appeal possibilities for under-trial prisoners and convicted individuals under the Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC).
Juvenile Justice Board Inspection
Following the jail inspection, Secretary Krishna Rakesh Kanwat reviewed the Juvenile Justice Board. He assessed the pending cases of children and the basic facilities provided to them, including food, medical care, drinking water, and sanitation. He also gathered information on the advocacy efforts by legal aid lawyers for the children's cases, ensuring that every eligible child receives timely and effective free legal assistance.
