Aide Natalie Harp's Influence on Trump

According to a new book detailing Donald Trump's journey back to the White House, the former president has expressed admiration for his aide Natalie Harp, recognizing her as one of his most loyal supporters. The book, titled Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, is authored by White House correspondents from a major newspaper.

At just 34 years old, Harp has become part of a select group of advisors who have direct access to Trump. Previously a conservative television host, she assists him with various daily tasks, such as printing articles, conducting online research, and preparing content for his Truth Social platform. The book reveals that during the early days of his second term, Trump remarked to his staff that Harp was "the only one who loved him as much as his wife and kids," adding, "All of you will go off and make money. She'll never leave me."

Harp has been a steadfast supporter of Trump since his initial term and maintained her close relationship with him even after he left office in 2021. The authors note that she frequently joined Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, providing him with positive news articles and social media content. Additionally, Harp reportedly wrote personal notes to Trump, leaving them in places where he would easily find them; one such note allegedly stated, "You are all that matters to me." Some individuals within Trump's circle found this dynamic peculiar, with future White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles questioning her own position in the situation.

Concerns regarding Harp's proximity to Trump have been previously highlighted. In a 2025 publication, journalist Michael Wolff mentioned that members of the Secret Service considered her a "potential danger to herself as well as the president." However, Trump's administration has staunchly defended her role, with White House spokesperson Allison Schuster describing Harp as "one of the most dedicated and loyal patriots inside the entire Trump Administration."

The book also discusses Harp's endorsement of Trump's redesign of the Oval Office, which included the addition of gold decorative elements. As the year progressed, Trump continued to add more gold pieces to the mantel, and while most staff responses were subdued, Harp expressed her enthusiasm. Furthermore, during Trump's public fallout with billionaire Elon Musk, Harp remained one of his closest aides. The authors recount that Trump felt disheartened after Musk criticized his spending legislation online, stating, "They always leave me. They always do this. This is why I can't have friends." He then requested his phone to reach out to Musk, but after two unanswered calls, Trump reportedly commented, "He never doesn't take my calls."
