Indore Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Wife Over Intimacy Dispute
Husband Detained in Wife's Murder Case
In Indore, a 40-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband, who has since been taken into custody. A police official provided this information on Monday.
According to the officer, the husband reportedly killed his wife because she had refused to engage in physical relations with him for the past eight years.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shrikrishna Lalchandani informed a news media outlet that the woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances on January 9 in the Aerodrome police station area.
He noted that the husband brought her body to the Government Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital, claiming she had died suddenly after falling due to high blood pressure.
Lalchandani stated, "An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was strangulation." He added that after intense questioning, the husband confessed to the murder.
The DCP mentioned, "The accused, who works as a mechanic, told police during interrogation that his wife had been denying him physical relations for eight years, which led him to strangle her in a fit of rage." He confirmed that the suspect was arrested on Sunday, and a thorough investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
