IndiGo Flight Aborts Takeoff Due to Technical Issues
IndiGo Flight Incident Overview
An IndiGo flight (6E7966) scheduled to travel from Ahmedabad to Diu had to abort its takeoff after a technical issue was detected just prior to departure, as confirmed by a representative of the airline.
The airline stated that the pilots adhered to standard protocols by notifying the relevant authorities and returning the aircraft to the gate. The plane will undergo necessary inspections before it can be cleared for future flights.
This incident occurred just two days after another IndiGo aircraft, carrying 140 passengers from Goa, had to make an emergency landing at Indore airport due to a technical problem with its landing gear.
In that case, the IndiGo spokesperson mentioned that flight 6E 813, which was en route from Goa International Airport (Dabolim) to Indore, reported a technical snag shortly before landing. Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely in Indore and will undergo mandatory checks before it can resume operations.
Prior to this, on July 20, flight 6E 6591, traveling from Tirupati to Hyderabad, was also turned back and landed safely in Tirupati due to a technical issue. The aircraft was inspected before being allowed to operate again.
