Military strategists are increasingly referencing the OODA Loop—Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act—which assesses how swiftly a military can evaluate a situation and react.
During the summit, the Strategic Forces Command discreetly introduced a new AI tool developed locally, which could revolutionize India's border surveillance.
This system is capable of analyzing satellite images, drone footage, and electronic data to identify potential military escalations along the Line of Actual Control with an impressive accuracy of approximately 94%, even before visible indicators like tents or equipment emerge, as per the report.
Officials assert that this tool enables the military to detect unusual activities early and respond more swiftly.
Rather than depending solely on human analysts, the AI system processes vast amounts of data and delivers real-time insights, assisting commanders in making timely decisions before situations escalate.
The summit also underscored the gradual integration of artificial intelligence across all three military branches, according to the report.
In the Army, a platform known as SAM-UN is being utilized to modernize older tanks and armored vehicles.
AI-enhanced fire-control systems are being incorporated into legacy equipment, ensuring these platforms remain viable on modern battlefields without the need for entirely new fleets, as reported.
