India's Military Insights and Health Alerts: Key Updates

Military Intelligence and Operations
The Indian Army has revealed that Pakistan received real-time intelligence from China regarding significant military movements during Operation Sindoor. Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh, who serves as the deputy Army chief for capability development and sustenance, disclosed this information at a recent event. He stated, 'During discussions at the DGMO level, Pakistan indicated awareness of our critical military assets, requesting their withdrawal based on live updates from China.'
Singh emphasized the necessity for India to bolster its air defense systems in anticipation of potential future attacks on urban centers. He noted that during the four-day conflict, India faced challenges from three adversaries: Pakistan at the forefront, with substantial backing from China and Turkey, which provided drones and trained personnel.
Nipah Virus Alert in Kerala
In response to two suspected Nipah virus cases, the Kerala government has issued a high alert across three districts: Malappuram, Palakkad, and Kozhikode. One of these cases has been confirmed. State Health Minister Veena George held an emergency meeting to discuss the situation and confirmed that preventive measures are being implemented according to established Nipah virus protocols. Police assistance has been requested to trace individuals who may have been in contact with the suspected cases.
To enhance public safety, twenty-six rapid response teams have been mobilized to conduct contact tracing, monitor symptoms, and raise awareness among the public. Kerala has faced five outbreaks of the Nipah virus since 2018.
Sambhal Violence Report
A fact-finding report by civil rights organizations has challenged the official narrative regarding the violence that erupted in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, in November. The report claims that witness testimonies and video evidence contradict the assertion that the crowd protesting a court-ordered survey was violent. Instead, it depicts excessive police force, including unlawful home entries, property destruction, and physical assaults.
The violence occurred on November 24 when a group of Muslims protested against a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid in Chandausi, which was claimed to have been built on the site of an ancient temple. The district magistrate dismissed the findings of the report, asserting that the protesters had attacked the police.
