India's Diplomatic Mission: A Five-Nation Tour to Combat Terrorism
High-Level Delegation Embarks on Global Outreach
New Delhi: A high-level, all-party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi has embarked on a five-nation tour as part of India's global outreach initiative, Operation Sindoor, aimed at exposing Pakistan and the terrorist organizations operating from its territory.
The delegation's itinerary includes visits to Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain, focusing on enhancing India's diplomatic efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.
Previously, two other delegations set off for Japan and the UAE as part of this extensive five-nation tour.
This initiative is designed to foster international consensus against terrorism and to isolate Pakistan along with the terror groups that support and perpetuate such activities.
The first delegation, led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, arrived in Tokyo on Thursday, marking the start of India's diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor.
This group comprises BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid. After Japan, they will continue their journey to South Korea (May 24), Singapore (May 27), Indonesia (May 28), and Malaysia (May 31).
The second delegation, which departed from the national capital on Wednesday, is led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde. This group is currently in the UAE and will subsequently visit Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone. It includes BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, and Manan Kumar Mishra, along with BJD’s Sasmit Patra, IUML MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, BJP leader S.S. Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
Through Operation Sindoor, India aims to underscore Pakistan's involvement in promoting cross-border terrorism, with a total of seven delegations, consisting of 59 Members of Parliament, former ministers, and diplomats, set to visit 33 countries between May 21 and June 5.
