India's Bold Response: Jaishankar Advocates Zero Tolerance for Terrorism After Strikes on Pakistan

India's Military Action Against Terrorism

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the necessity for the global community to adopt a stance of zero tolerance towards terrorism. His remarks came shortly after India executed precision strikes targeting nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as a response to the recent Pahalgam terror incident.

These military operations, dubbed 'Operation Sindoor', were initiated two weeks following the attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

According to the defense ministry, India has shown significant restraint in both the choice of targets and the execution of these operations.

Jaishankar reiterated on social media platform 'X', "The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism."

Reports indicate that the operation was a collaborative effort between the Indian Air Force and the Army.

In response, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted that his nation has the right to respond decisively to what he termed an act of war by India.

He stated, "The Pakistani nation and armed forces are well-equipped to handle any adversary."
